The Commitment

XMR Predictions does not perform identity verification of any kind. There is no KYC step. There is no "verify later" gate. There is no compliance department waiting to ask for your passport after you deposit. This is not an oversight or a loophole — it is an architecture decision made before the first line of code was written.

You create an account with a pseudonymous handle and a password. An optional email can be provided solely for account recovery — it is never shared, never sold, never used for marketing or analytics. The platform holds deposited Monero under pseudonyms only. It does not know who you are. It does not want to know.

What We Don't Collect

  • Real names
  • Government ID / passport / driver's license
  • Email addresses (optional — recovery only, never shared)
  • Phone numbers
  • IP addresses (not logged)
  • Browser fingerprints
  • Location data / GPS
  • Social graph / contacts
  • Analytics / tracking pixels
  • Third-party cookies

What We Do Store

  • Your chosen pseudonymous handle
  • Your hashed password (bcrypt — we cannot read it)
  • Your position data (which markets, which side, how much)
  • XMR deposit and withdrawal transaction records

That's it. Nothing else. Account deletion on request removes all associated data.

Why It Matters

A prediction market that logs real identities alongside bets is a surveillance database with a probability engine bolted on. Every position you take, every market you watch, every deposit you make — filed under your legal name, cross-referenced with your government ID, stored on servers you don't control, subject to subpoenas you'll never see.

On transparent blockchains, payouts are traceable to the market you won. An analyst can see that address 0x4f2... received 14.7 ETH from a prediction market contract that resolved on a specific date about a specific event. That is a financial biography written in public, permanently.

Monero's stealth addresses, RingCT, and FCMP++ make your winnings indistinguishable from any other XMR transaction. No exchange can flag them. No analyst can correlate them. KYC is not consumer protection — it is a compliance checkbox that creates honeypots of personal data, waiting to be breached, subpoenaed, or sold.
